South End Art Hop celebrates 20 years

“Spring Lambs in Afternoon Light” by Mathew Pardue. Pardue said this painting is about Shelburne Farms and the beginning of another work season. Pardue works as a line cook at the Inn at Shelburne Farms, and some of the sheep will go to slaughter and fall under his knife.

Vermont farms up and running one year after Irene

However, restoring damaged farm land, repairing buildings and equipment, replacing lost feed, and strengthening resilience are all challenges these businesses still face, he said at the 1782 Settlement Farm in Middlesex.
