Junior high wrestling team begin season with wins

The Chittenden South Supervisory Union (CSSU) Hurricane wrestling team of seventh and eighth graders is up and running with three matches on the books. Hinesburg Community School (HCS) student Kale Denis, although new to the sport, took home a 3rd place medal at Otter Valley, Vergennes, and Milton while HCS student Wyatt Sanderson won 4th place at Otter Valley and 2nd place at Milton. Shelburne Community School student Trevor Mitiguy took home 4th place at Otter Valley and a 1st place medal from Vergennes.

Kindergarten through sixth grade students interested in registering for the CSSU Hurricanes may sign up on Tuesday, Jan. 14, from 6:20-7:30 pm in the HCS cafeteria. The program is free of charge, and all gear is provided.
