Steve Walkerman will use his experience in business and town government to help best represent the values and interests of the citizens of Shelburne. Walkerman, a candidate for the two-year Shelburne Selectboard position, served on the Underhill Selectboard for six years, with five years as chair.
Walkerman is an engineer by training and has worked in manufacturing, finance, computer systems management, and human resources. He is a principal in the manufacturing company KneeBinding in Stowe. KneeBinding produces and sells unique alpine ski binding that helps reduce knee injuries among skiers. The company has been in business since 2008 and is the only ski binding company manufacturing in the U.S.
Walkerman lives on Dorset Street with his wife, Michelle Price, an art teacher in the South Burlington public school system.
