Yes, there was a Shelburne High School (SHS), and there will be a SHS reunion this summer. The reunion is open to all former SHS students and their grade school classmates, families, friends and teachers. The reunion is being organized by the Class of 1962 to recognize the anniversary of its graduation 50 years ago.
The gathering will be held on Friday, July 6 in the McClure Room of the Trinity Episcopal Church on Route 7 in Shelburne. The festivities will start at 7 pm, with plenty of entertainment planned, against the backdrop of the best tunes for the 50s and 60s. Food and drink will be available for purchase.
Information is available on Facebook under Shelburne Vermont High School. Be sure to “Like” the Facebook page for updates. The event is on Classmates.com also.
The call is out to gather together for fellowship, a good time, and to start a new tradition honoring the heritage of a great secondary education institution, SHS. For reservations, mark your “planning to attend” status on Facebook or email your reservation to Rod@Durrell.us.
