Tim Pudvar, currently the Shelburne Selectboard Chair, is running for the two-year Selectboard position. He has served Shelburne as a scout leader, soccer coach, Shelburne Baseball Board member, Little League coach, and six-year Selectboard member – experience he believes will aid in the transition to a new Town Manager.

Pudvar grew up in Pownal, Vt. where he served two years on Selectboard. He watched his parents “work like dogs” to raise four kids and put them through college. As a child, he witnessed three businesses vacate the town in which he grew up, and its devastating effect on the community resonated with him. Pudvar received a B.A. in History from Castleton State and worked for 20 years at Nortrax Equipment, selling John Deere construction and forestry equipment.

He and his wife, Kathie, have three children: 16-year-old daughter Bailee, a CVU student and lacrosse player; 14-year-old son Max, a CVU student who loves hunting and basketball; and 10-year-old son Ollie, an SCS student and sports-enthusiast. Kathie is a fourth grade teacher in Ferrisburg and a member of the Shelburne Rec Committee.

Pudvar enjoys hunting with his son, Max, watching his childrens’ sporting events, as well as boating, fishing, and cycling.
