On Jan. 8, the Red Cross collected 39 units of blood, the most collected at a Shelburne blood drive in three years.
Blood Drive organizer Parker Dunn would like to thank all community members who took the time out of their busy day to participate in the drive. For those that attempted to donate but were unable, the Red Cross appreciates your consideration. A special thanks to the local businesses advertising the event, and especially the Shelburne Supermarket, Marco’s Pizza & Grill, and Buono Appetito who donated food and helped make the event a positive experience.
Even with the recent success at the Shelburne blood drive, the Red Cross is optimistic that the next blood drive will be even more successful. The Red Cross encourages community members to save the date for the next drive, scheduled for March 5 in Shelburne.
