Registration is now open for Camp Little Notch in the Adirondacks, a sleep-away camp for girls 7-17 years old. One- and two-week sessions are available starting July 6 until Aug. 15. Campers discover their strengths and unique voices in healthy outdoor programs that connect girls of diverse backgrounds with each other, positive mentors, and the land. Camp Little Notch programs provide girls opportunities to develop responsibility, creativity, and teamwork while having fun in a pristine wilderness setting.
Camp Little Notch is celebrating its 75th season and has served tens of thousands of girls with swimming, canoeing, sailing, team building, ropes course, yoga, creek walks, wildlife observation, hiking, outdoor cooking, arts and crafts, music, and overnight camp-out programs.
The 443-acre camp and outdoor education center in Fort Ann, N.Y. includes an 80-acre private lake surrounded by mountains, miles of streams, an historic iron smelting furnace, and complete facilities. Girls sleep in comfortable tents and eat well-balanced, healthy meals in the dining hall. A full-time nurse and administrative staff are on site at all times, and trained and first-aid-certified unit leaders and counselors provide instruction and monitor programs for safety.
Camp Little Notch is accredited by the American Camp Association and licensed by the NYS Health Department. For more information, visit www.CampLittleNotch.org or call (518) 793-9700.
