Local comedians pay tribute to friend

Former Shelburne resident Andrew Knox returns to Chittenden County this weekend to perform in a night of comedy in tribute to Rob A. LaClair Jr. who passed away last year.

Former Shelburne resident Andrew Knox returns to Chittenden County this weekend to perform in a night of comedy in tribute to Rob A. LaClair Jr. who passed away last year.

Andrew Knox, formerly of Shelburne, will return to home state on Sunday, May 18 to perform in an “Epic Comedy Extravaganza Spectaculare” at Higher Ground in South Burlington. Knox currently works with the Second City Touring Company in Chicago, a premier comedy club that launched the careers of Mike Meyers, Steve Carrell, Stephen Colbert, and Tina Fey.

Knox will join fellow Second City improv comedian Paul Chimko and local Spark Arts comedians Tony Bates and Nathan Hartswick in a night of comedy in tribute to Rob A. LaClair, Jr. well known in Chittenden County for his great sense of humor and love of life, who passed away in 2013.

All proceeds of the event will benefit Spectrum Youth and Family Services and Lyric Theatre Company. Tickets for the event may be purchased at www.highergroundmusic.com.
