The Renaissance School Annual Student Art Show, Picnic and Auction was held last week. This is an annual celebration of the art program at the school along with a picnic dinner with auction for families and friends. Inside the school’s large performance space, students, friends and family were treated to an exhibit of hundreds of pieces of student artwork, including a large and colorful full-scale jungle scene inspired by the exotic artwork of French Post-Impressionist painter Henri Rousseau (above). The art show also showcased the wonderful variety of artistic styles offered by the school’s art teacher, Laura Poirier, throughout the year with her students.
