The Shelburne Little League Majors championship game was a well-played contest between the Yankees and the Giants.  The first two innings were a scoreless pitcher’s duel between the two teams. The Yankees struck first by scoring three runs in the third inning. In the fifth inning, the bats of both teams came to life when the Giants put up two runs and the Yankees responded by adding two more of their own. In spite of great effort and enthusiasm by the Giants, the Yankees prevailed by a score of 5 to 2. The Yankees also had the best record of the regular season.
