Frog Hollow hosts henna artist Aug. 22

Aug-2-A-Frog-Hollow-Henna-Artist-3-SC-copyFrog Hollow welcomes Elizabeth Saslaw, the artist and founder of York Hill Pottery and 30-year exhibitor at Frog Hollow, and Bridgette Bartlett, a henna artist based in Lincoln, for an evening at the gallery on Friday, Aug. 22 from 2-8pm. The mother daughter pair has recently collaborated to create henna inspired pottery. Bartlett applies slip to Saslaw’s pots allowing the intricate patterns to live permanently.
Bartlett first picked up henna in 2011 and was immediately drawn to its ancient history and smooth texture. In the years since then she has made several trips to India to pursue her passion for pattern and adornment.
Visit the tent at 85 Church Street in Burlington next Friday, Aug. 22 to see their collaborative work or receive a henna adornment of you own as Bartlett vends her work in front of the Frog Hollow Gallery.
