Campaign for Vermont founder Bruce Lisman will appear in Shelburne on Thursday, July 12 at the Dutch Mill Restaurant. Lisman is the guest of the Shelburne and Charlotte Republican Town Committees. The public is invited to the meeting which begins at 7:30 am.
Lisman founded Campaign for Vermont out of a deep and uneasy feeling that Vermonters are working hard but their feeling of optimism that the state is full of opportunities is waning. He points out that Vermont’s population and real personal income per capita have been flat lined, with both growing at less than .03 percent annually over the past decade. According to Lisman, this means that the number of customers and the dollars they can spend at Vermont businesses is stagnant, or declining.
