Dragonheart Vermont Sisters, a breast cancer survivor racing team that included 20 paddlers, one drummer, and one steersperson, won silver in the 500-meter race, missing gold by just 1.5 seconds, at the Lee Kum Kee 8th IDBF Club Crew World Championships on Sunday, July 8. The Breast Cancer Survivor crew also claimed gold in the 200-meter race by inching out its arch rival, the Aussies, and other USA teams by seconds on Friday, July 6. The races took place in the busiest harbor in the world – Victoria Harbour in Hong Kong.
