Two local Vermont-based businesses, Pet Food Warehouse and Gold Star Dog Training, LLC, are teaming up to offer a series of free workshops for new puppy owners. During these fun, interactive, 1.5 hour workshops, participants will learn a few basic commands; some simple techniques for raising a confident, well-socialized puppy; and how to handle normal puppy behaviors like biting, chewing, and jumping. Each workshop features hands-on exercises and ample time for questions. The free puppy workshops are designed for puppies aged eight weeks to five months.
Additional information about the workshops:
• Upcoming workshops will be offered on: Aug, 5; Sept. 30; and Jan. 6, 2013 from 5:30-7 pm at Pet Food Warehouse, 2500 Williston Road, in South Burlington
• There is no fee. Donations will be accepted at the door, with 100 percent of the proceeds donated to a local dog-related non-profit (to be chosen at the workshop)
• Pre-registration is required and class size is limited.
