Area conservation group to host clay target shoot in Williston

The Green Mountain Chapter of the Ruffed Grouse Society (RGS) will host a Fun Shoot at the North Country Sportsman’s Club, Gun Club Road in Williston on Saturday, July 28 beginning with registration at 8:30 am. Shooting will be held from 9 am- 4 pm.
In addition to the shooting, a demonstration on upland bird hunting will be held with the use of multiple dogs.
According to Dan Schwendler, the entry fee for this 100 target event (four rounds of five stand or trap) is $50, and includes a catered Italian lunch served at 12:30 pm.
Proceeds from this event will be divided equally between grouse and woodcock habitat improvement and scholarship funds for the Green Mountain Conservation Camps – a youth oriented outdoor education organization.
