Dream Big at Pierson Library: upcoming summer programs in the youth area

Library Scavenger Hunt: This afternoon, Thursday, July 26 at 1 pm: Get your batteries ready!  It’s lights out in the Pierson Library Children’s Room for our scavenger hunt by flashlight. Track down fireflies hidden amongst the library shelves to redeem for a prize. No registration is necessary for this program.

Faerie Club: Wednesday, Aug. 1 at 1 pm: Trade pebbles earned for completing good deeds for fabulous fairy treasures at Pierson Library’s Gala Faerie Market. Call or come by to register for this event.

Turtles in the Library: Thursday, Aug. 2 at 1 pm. Southern Vermont Natural History Museum returns, this time with guests of a wigglier variety. Meet the reptiles and amphibians that call Vermont home. Love turtles?  Read the Native American story “Thirteen Moons on Turtle’s Back” in preparation for meeting a turtle or two at your very own library. No registration is necessary for this program.

Summer music fun in the children’s room

Join us this summer on Saturday mornings at 10:30 am for Music with Raphael. Come sing, dance and clap your hands along with Raphael and his guitar. Children and parents are invited to participate in traditional and original folk music. No registration is necessary for this program.

Play Scrabble next Thursday afternoon, Aug. 2

Scrabble boards open at 1 pm. Come to Pierson Library, cool off and play a friendly game of Scrabble with fellow enthusiasts. Call Linda at 985-5124 with questions or to register.
