The Vermont Artisans Craft Gallery recently opened at the Burlington Town Center on Church Street in Burlington. Jewelry designer Darcy Church opened the store with the goal of creating an easily accessible location for Vermont artisans to showcase and sell their creations.
One of those crafts people is Jenna Lindemann, a SCS and CVU graduate who these days crafts high end handbags, totes and accessories. She opened Lindemann’s Totes in January of 2011, and has been selling her line of bags at www.lindemannstotes.com. They are now also available at the Burlington Town Center’s craft gallery.
Organized as an art co-op, the store features more than 65 local artisans and food producers representing a wide variety of mediums including pottery, woodworking, jewelry, fiber arts, oil, water and acrylic paintings, and photography. The Vermont Artisans Craft Gallery is located on the lower level of the mall, in the space formerly occupied by Tradewinds. It is open Thursday-Saturday from 10 am to 9 pm and Sunday from 12 pm to 6 pm. On Saturdays, the store offers free art demos and food tastings.
