Labor Day DUI Campaign for 2012 in affect now

According to the Shelburne Police Department the 2012 Labor Day DUI Campaign started on Wednesday, Aug. 15 and will continue through Monday, Sept. 3. The Chittenden County SHARP unit will be hosting high visibility traffic enforcement throughout Chittenden County. They will be using saturation patrols as well as DUI checkpoints.

The purpose of the 2012 Labor Day Campaign is to save lives through increased high visibility traffic enforcement. Our fatal accident rate is proof that we need more high visibility traffic enforcement.
