Financially savvy poster contest winner

Talia Loiter, a 5th grade student at Shelburne Community School, was honored at a State House ceremony April 12 for her poster artwork. She is shown here standing with Vermont State Treasurer Beth Pearce. Talia’s poster submission for the 2012 Be Money Wi$e Financial Literacy Poster Competition was chosen in the honorable mention category for display during a celebration of April as Financial Literacy for Youth month. This year’s poster theme was “Managing Money is Not Magic!” The annual competition is run by the Vermont State Treasurer’s Office with support from the Vermont Bankers Association.
