Fall lacrosse offered for boys in grades 7 and 8

Shelburne Recreation will be offering a fall boys lacrosse program for players in the 7th and 8th grades in September. The program will meet Sept. 9 through mid-October on Sundays from 4-5:30 pm at the Shelburne Community School fields. Players will spend time developing their stick skills and also play a small-sided game called Chumash. There are one to two tentatively scheduled Chumash tournaments with teams from other towns. Both new and experienced players are welcome to play. Players should have their own lacrosse equipment. There is no registration fee and players do not need to formally register with Shelburne Recreation. Those interested in playing should contact Andy McClellan at aliceandy@myfairpoint.net.
