Vermont artist Nini Crane will hold an exhibit in the community room at the Carpenter-Carse Library from Sept. 4-29. Crane began painting after she retired from 32 years of teaching at Charlotte Central School, Champlain Valley Union High School, and the Shelburne Community School. She primarily paints watercolors but enjoys painting oils, pastels, and acrylics. Crane is inspired by the beauty all around her and loves painting scenes in Vermont, flowers, and all the beauty from the four seasons.
Crane is a member of the Vermont Watercolor Society, the Essex Art League, and was a participant in the Cows Come Home to Burlington Project in 2010. Her Four Season Cow was giving in memory of Amelia Sperry to Orchard School in South Burlington.
Stop by during regular library hours this fall to enjoy her lovely works of art. For more information about the exhibit, call 482-2878.
