The “Eat Well Age Well” program connects seniors with peer volunteers to help them apply for 3SquaresVT, a federal nutrition assistance program. The goal of the innovative is to grow a team of 55-plus “Nutrition Corps” volunteers who will be given the tools and training to reach out to their peers to talk about the importance of nutrition and how 3SquaresVT can help seniors afford fresh, healthy foods. In addition to helping with applications for 3Squares VT, volunteers will share program information and ongoing support to ensure maximum benefits and program knowledge.
