Shelburne defeats Richmond last Saturday

The Shelburne 11/12 baseball team beat Richmond 10-5 Saturday, Sept. 1 at South Field in Shelburne. Coach Arthur Prentice commented,” It was a closely fought game with lead changes going back and forth until our bats came alive with two outs in the bottom of the fifth inning. We scored eight runs with help from Collin Vincent who hit a monster bomb 3-run home run over the center field fence.” Shelburne also had strong pitching performances from Vincent, Trevor Mitiguy, and Michael Casarico. The team was aggressive on the base paths and played strong defensively. The team, 2-0, will play Vergennes Saturday, Sept. 8 at 2 pm at South Field.
