CVU football team begins season on high note

Champlain Valley Union scored 18 points in the second half to defeat Burlington 31-13 in the season opener Saturday, Sept. 1 in Hinesburg.  CVU’s Pat Shea scored two touchdowns, Steele Dubrul ran for a touchdown and threw one to Ryan Beaudry for another while Jason Cora returned an interception for the final tally in the fourth quarter.
