Fall Golf Clinic: Mike Bailey, Kwiniaska’s PGA Pro, will instruct this quick review of all the basic strokes, clubs, and fundamentals. This clinic is aimed at students who have taken previous golf instruction. The clinic date is Saturday, Sept. 8 from 2-4 pm for kids in grades 2-6. The fee is $30 and the clinic will be held at Kwiniaska Golf Club. An adult clinic will be held on Sunday, Sept. 9 from 2-4 pm for grades 7-Adult. Pre-registration is required.
Kindergarten Soccer Registration Deadline is Friday, Sept. 7 at 3 pm: A fun, instructional soccer program for kindergarteners! The program curriculum includes fun ball mastery activities, interactive fundamental technical training between players, and exciting small-sided fun and interactive environment. It will run Sundays, Sept. 9-30 at the Shelburne Community School Fields from 12-1 pm. The cost is $20 and includes a t-shirt and team picture. Join Stan Williams, CVU girls soccer coach, and some of the CVU boys and girls soccer players for a fun introduction to soccer!
Pickleball: Love Pickleball but looking for partners? Want to learn how to play Pickleball? Two courts will be reserved at Davis Park for Pickleball during the month of September every Tuesday and Thursday from 9 am-12 pm. Join those interested in this growing sport. No registration or fee.
Introduction to Gymnastics: Gymnastics is a great way to develop strength, balance, flexibility, coordination, and focus! Students will learn the basic elements of floor exercise and balance beam in a fun and encouraging environment. Your child will gain confidence and a sense of achievement with each new skill mastered. Open to both girls and boys. This program is open to kids in grades K-2 and will be held on Tuesdays, Sept. 18-Oct. 23 from 3-4 pm at the Shelburne Town Gym. The instructor will be Karen Krajacic and the fee is $55.
Gentle Hatha Yoga: Learn basic yoga postures and posture modifications coupled with uplifting positive affirmations unique to the Ananda tradition of Hatha Yoga. This mat class is perfect for students of all levels who desire a relaxed pace and ideal for those who wish to practice yoga using a gentle approach with awareness to their own body’s needs. Beginners welcome! Affirmations are uplifting thoughts which accompany many of the postures, helping the body, mind and spirit find harmony and unity. This class will be offered on Tuesdays from 9- 10 am for two sessions: Session A: Sept. 18-Oct. 30. B: Nov.6-Dec. 18. Each session costs $60.
Gentle Chair Supported Yoga: Learn yoga exercises to increase vitality and well-being using the support of a chair. You will explore easy and safe ways to increase your muscle strength, tone your internal organs, improve your balance, and reduce your muscular fatigue. Together, we will discover how chair-supported yoga will help tap into your own body’s unique abilities and potential. This class is accessible to everybody regardless of your age, body type, skill level or physical challenges. Many postures are reinforced with uplifting affirmations and visualization helping to unify the mind, body, and spirit. This class will be offered on Tuesdays from 10:15-11:15 am for two sessions: Session A: Sept. 18-Oct. 30. B: Nov. 6-Dec. 18. Each session costs $60.
