Chefs compete in Shelburne, Sept. 20
Call it chili for a cause. Just in time for chili season, a group raising money for Alzheimer’s research is hosting a chili cook-off on Thursday, Sept. 20.
“Think you make darn good chili? Well, we invite you to prove it,” said Shelburne resident Paige Feeser, event organizer. “We are recruiting cooks to come compete in the Chili Cook-Off to End Alzheimer’s. It’s a great opportunity for chefs of all stripes to see how they size up against fellow chili crafters.”
All proceeds support a team raising money for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s called SM & Friends spearheaded by Feeser. The Walk takes place Sept. 23 at the Shelburne Museum.
The Chili Cook-Off to End Alzheimer’s is 5:30-8 pm, on Sept. 20 at the Shelburne Town Hall.
There’s no cost to enter. Tickets to attend the event are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. All you can eat. Please bring your own plates and utensils.
There will also be a silent auction during the cook-off featuring works by local artists.
