Former Shelburne resident named to Vermont HOF

Jen (Carlson) Johnson, formerly of Shelburne, will be inducted into the inaugural class of the Vermont Sports Hall of Fame

The Vermont Sports Hall of Fame will honor former Shelburne resident Jen (Carlson) Johnson and 12 of the finest Green Mountain State athletes and contributors when it inducts its inaugural class on Nov. 17 at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel on Williston Road in South Burlington.  The Lucky 13 represent 11 sports, several generations, and most Vermont counties. Collectively, they have earned multiple Olympic medals, won several team sports World Championships, and captured numerous individual and team accolades. The inductees in alphabetical order are: Tony Adams (contributor media), Larry Benoit (outdoors), Jen (Carlson) Johnson (soccer), Jake Burton Carpenter (contributor snowboard), Ray Collins (basketball), Larry Gardner (baseball), Albert Gutterson (track & field), Bill Koch (Nordic skiing), Andrea Mead Lawrence (alpine skiing), John LeClair (hockey), Nicole Levesque Andres (basketball), Ken Squier (contributor stock car racing, media), and Bob Yates (football).
