All Breed Dog Shows returns Oct. 6-7

The Champlain Valley Kennel Club welcomes spectators back to the AKC All Breed Dog Shows in Northern Vermont on Oct. 6 and 7 from 9 am-5 pm indoors at the Miller Expo Centre at the Champlain Valley Exposition in Essex Junction.
The event will bring exhibitors from over 35 states and Canada with 100-plus breeds competing in conformation, obedience, and rally. Watch dogs compete for Best in Show and High in Trial. Spectators at the event can interact with the dogs and handlers as well as browse between many unique dog-related concessions.
Come shop, meet dog breeds and breeders, and see some of the nation’s finest dogs in competition. There is a nominal admission charge and free parking. Please leave pets at home; non-entered dogs will not be allowed in to the show area.
Specialty shows and sweepstakes: The Green Mountain Golden Retriever Club both days
Meet the rare breeds from 11 am-2 pm Saturday and Sunday. Owners and breeders will be available to introduce their dogs and answer questions.
Meet the author and book signing: Dr. Steven Metz will be available to sign his new book “Exotic Tales, a Veterinarian’s Journey.”
Seminar: Trainer of the Year, Pluis Davern, from the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation is an AKC judge. She will present Saturday night at 7 pm at the Exposition. Tickets are $10 with 50 percent of sales going to the Search Dog Foundation.
