Volunteers needed for the 22nd Annual Champlain Classic! Sunday, May 6 at the Shelburne Town parking lot. Volunteers are needed to help at water tables, parking, registration, food tables and more. If you are interested please contact our office at 985-9551 for more information or to sign up.

Champlain Classic-Sunday, May 6: 5K starts at 9:10 am, 15K starts at 9am and a free 1K Kid’s Race starts at 8:30 am. The course incorporates the Ti Haul and Shelburne Bay Recreation Paths which include woods, meadows and lake views. Registration fee is $20. Race Day registrations will be accepted from 7-8:15 am.     

Family Karate classes: White Belt classes: Sundays, Apr 29-Jun 10, 11-12 pm, $50. Color Belt Training, Tuesdays and Thursdays, Apr 17-Jun 7, 5:30-6:30 pm, $80. 

Gentle Hatha Yoga: Learn basic yoga postures and posture modifications coupled with uplifting positive affirmations unique to the Ananda tradition of Hatha Yoga. Beginner’s welcome! Tuesdays, May 1-June 12, 9-10 am, $68

Gentle Chair Supported Yoga: Increase vitality and well-being using the support of a chair. Explore easy and safe ways to increase your muscle strength, tone your internal organs, improve your balance and reduce your muscular fatigue. This class is accessible to everybody regardless of your age, body type, skill level or physical challenges. Tuesdays, May 1-June 12, 10:15-11:15 am, $68.

Boater Safety Course:  This basic course is offered by the Vermont State Police and is REQUIRED by Vermont law for all power boat operators on Vermont waters who were born after January 1, 1974. Recommended for anyone 12 years and older. Participants MUST attend all four dates: Tues and Thurs., May 8, 10, 15, and 17, 6-8 pm, $10.

NEW! Introduction to Gymnastics: Learn the basic elements of floor exercise and balance beam in a fun and encouraging environment. Girls and boys, ages 4-6 years. Tuesdays, May 8-June 5, 3-4pm, $50, Shelburne Town Gym.

Junior Introduction To Golf: Join Mike Bailey, PGA Professional, to learn the fundamentals of a game that can be played for a lifetime. Clubs can be provided for those who need them. Grades 1-2: Tuesdays, May 1-May 29,  4-5 pm on. Grades 3-5: Tuesdays, May 1-May 29, 5-6 pm. Grades 6-8: Thursdays, May 3-May 31, 4-5pm.

Suburban Babe Ruth Registration Deadline is April 30. Boys ages 13-15 as of April 30. The regular season will run the month of June with approximately 3 games per week.  Post season play will start in July.  Registration fee is $90. Registration forms can be found at or at the Recreation Office.
