Vermont based Burlington Ensemble produced three concerts recently that generated $4,210 in cash contributions donated toward local non-profit organizations. Two chamber music concerts in the Coach Barn at Shelburne Farms on July 24 and Aug. 11 fundraised $3,000 for Vermont FEED. A chamber music concert opened Burlington Ensemble’s third season of “90/10 Series” on Sept. 15 in Burlington, which fundraised $1,210 for six local non-profit organizations including Puppets in Education, Vermont Children’s Trust Foundation, Vermont Family Network, Rock Point School, Common Roots, and Committee on Temporary Shelter.
One concert audience member commented “Love it – and loved hearing David (pianist) the other night. My daughter talked of nothing but his fingers and trills and arpeggios and how much she needed to practice her scales all the way home…and she insists I bring her to the next concert.”
All Burlington Ensemble concerts consist of a unique collaboration and partnership between professional performance, local non-profit organization beneficiaries, and business community sponsorship.” For more information, visit www.burlingtonensemble.com or www.facebook.com/burlington.ensemble, or call (802) 598-9520.
