Latin Dance Party fundraiser enjoys success

Many Latin Dance Party attendees took a salsa lesson with founder, owner, and teacher Victoria Moore of Salsalina at the Coach Barn Sept. 7.

The Latin Dance Party to benefit the Hands to Honduras-Tela 2013 service projects held on Friday, Sept. 7 at the Coach Barn at Shelburne Farms was a great success thanks to the hard work of committee members and volunteers. The event raised approximately $7,500 according to Hands to Honduras-Tela Program Director Linda Gilbert. “It was a great event from beginning to end; just super, especially the dancing,” an attendee said. She added that it was a spectacular evening for a fun group of around 250 who enjoyed learning how to salsa; dancing to the music of Alejandro and Grupo Sabor; munching on Latin-inspired appetizer and desserts; and bidding on the creative items in the silent auction.
