Helen Ann Ouellette – Orwell

Helen Ann (Many) Ouellette, 76, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones. Mrs. Ouellette was born in Middlebury on May 4, 1936, the daughter of Jean and Clara (Cyr) Many. She received her early education in Salisbury and married Maurice Henry Ouellette on Sept. 8, 1956, in Middlebury. Mrs. Ouellette had been employed at Middlebury College but spent most of her working life as a dairy farmer with her husband. After retirement from dairy farming, she became a child care provider and a care giver for the elderly. Mrs. Ouellette was a communicant of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Orwell and was a member of Middlebury American Legion Auxiliary Post 27 and the Fair Haven Eagles Club. She loved gardening, cooking for family gatherings, and cheating at cards. Among her survivors is a sister Doris Armell of Shelburne. She was predeceased by her husband on Jan. 6, 2007.
