Shelburne Orchards owner Nick Cowles announced the winners of the 11th annual Pie Fest in the following categories: First Place “Apple of My Eye Pie” was awarded to Lisa Patnode, “Best Appearance” also went to Lisa Patnode, “Best Crust” was given to Andy Montroll, and “Best Filling” went to Rachel Winer. “This is Lisa’s second time winning first place,” explained Cowles. “That’s pretty cool since we have different judges every year,” he concluded.

Over 200 registered racers turned out for Racevermont.com’s Cider House Run/Walk also held at Shelburne Orchards. The crisp temperatures and sunny blue skies aided speedy runners and walkers on the hilly course through the orchard. Runners ages five to 64 participated in the fun run.
