Art opening at Shelburne Bay

The Lodge at Shelburne Bay and Burlington City Arts invite you to an opening wine and cheese reception featuring artwork by Gary Hall and Susan Larkin Thursday, Oct. 25, from 4-5 pm. The artist talk begins at 4:30 pm at The Lodge at 185 Pine Haven Shores Road.

Gary Hall is an architectural and fine art photographer based in Shelburne. His landscape prints are in collections of Vermont corporations, the U.S. Embassy in Lesotho, South Africa, and private residences from New York to Los Angeles. His approach to photography is to discover that special atmosphere that makes a subject unique and to engage with that expression in its most elegant form.

Susan Larkin is a landscape painter from Isle La Motte who works in both oils and pastels, painting both en plein air and producing larger works in her studio. She chooses to paint landscapes because of her enduring captivation with the natural world, the beautiful planes of color and light evident in the water, the land, and sky.
