Boys soccer wins three in a row
The Redhawks soccer team beat the Burlington Seahorses 2-0 on Wednesday, Oct. 10. Noah Lieberman assisted two goals by Shane Haley for the win.
In a game vs. North Country on Saturday, Oct. 14, CVU won 3-0. Haley had two goals in the win. In Tuesday’s game against BFA St. Albans, the Redhawks prevailed with an 8-0 win.
Field Hockey team beats Mt. Mansfield, ties Middlebury
In a game vs. Mt. Mansfield on Friday, Oct. 12, the CVU field hockey team earned a 2-1 win. Two back-to-back goals by Amanda Whitbeck secured the 100th career victory for head coach Kate McDonald. Katie Arms had an assist and Evangeline Dunphy made five saves in goal for the Lady Redhawks.
A goal by Arms lifted the Lady Redhawks to tie Middlebury 1-1 in a home game Monday, Oct. 15. Dunphy had two saves for CVU.
Lady Redhawks trump Colchester
The CVU girls soccer team beat Colchester in a game Thursday, Oct. 11. Audrey Morehouse, Emma Davitt, and Taylor Goldsborough scored while Lily Harris stayed solid in goal for the Lady Redhawks.
CVU Football beats So. Burlington
On Saturday, Oct. 13, CVU quarterbacks Steele DuBrul and Bennett Cazayoux teamed up to lead the Redhawks to a 31-13 victory over the South Burlington Rebels. Strong performances by Ryan Beaudry, Alex Bulla, and Patrick Shea secured the win.
Cross-country teams fare well
At an invitational meet on Saturday, Oct. 13, the CVU boys cross-country team placed 6th out of a field of 30 teams. Sean Delaney in 39th place was the first Redhawks runner to finish, followed by Jared Keyes in 48th and Nick Bouton in 56th.
The CVU girls placed 5th out of 17 teams at the invitational. Taylor Spillane finished 6th, followed by Lady Redhawks Autumn Eastman in 13th and Julienne Devita in 32nd.
