Upcoming library program – Ghosts in Your Attic: Join us on Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 7 pm at the Charlotte Senior Center to hear spooky stories guaranteed to send chills up and down your spine. In another program co-sponsored with the Charlotte Library and the Charlotte 250th Committee, we are thrilled to present Vermont author Joe Citro, expert on New England Oddities (including ghosts), for an evening of ghost stories with a local flair. In addition to Joe, we have invited local story-tellers to share their ghoulish tales. Have your own mysterious account to share? We would love for you to share your story at this program as well. All tales of a spooktacular nature are welcome! Any questions, call the library at 985-5124.
Call for volunteers: Our library volunteers are invaluable to our staff and greatly assist in making Pierson Library the cheerful and helpful place that it is. If you would like to help out at the library and share your love of reading with your neighbors, we are looking for you. Our weekly morning shifts are from 10 am to 1:30 pm. Afternoon shifts are from 1:30 pm to 5 pm. Saturday shifts are either from 10 am to 1 pm or from 1 to 3 pm. The Saturday shift does not need to be a weekly commitment. Saturday volunteers may choose to work only once or twice a month. If you don’t have the time in your schedule to volunteer every week, Pierson Library is always looking for substitute volunteers who want to help at the circulation desk on occasion. If you want more information, next time you visit the library talk to Reggie at the circulation desk or call 985-5124.
