National Student Mock Election Results 2012

SCS students including James White, Emily LaCroix, Olivia Fields, Shay Brunvand, Colin Lach, Charlie Bernicke, and David Thrailkill participated in a mock election on Thursday, Nov. 1.

On Thursday, Nov. 1, students in grades 4-8 at the Shelburne Community School (SCS) had the opportunity to vote in the National Student Mock Election. After completing a SCS-modified voter registration form and reciting the Voter’s Oath, 378 students went through a checklist and then completed a ballot essentially identical to the official Town of Shelburne General Election Ballot. Symphony Team 8th graders served as election officials and were involved throughout the day running registration, checklists, escorting voters, answering questions, and counting votes. The results are as follows:
