Your dog (and your local community) will say “thank you”

Here’s a chance for a gift that benefits your dog, your family, and your community. Shelburne Village Dog Park has been offering a great place for dogs to run leash-free and for their owners to meet others who share their enthusiasm. Your gift will allow for improvements in the Shelburne Village Dog Park.

Karen Medsker of Ticonderoga Road shows her dog Angie a plaque on one of the wooden benches donated to Shelburne Village Dog Park. Thanks to the Medsker family and three additional donors, there will soon be three benches in the park.

There’s a gift for every budget:

•Buy a Dog Park membership (by sending $25 to Shelburne Parks and Recreation Director Betsy Cieplicki at the Town Offices)

•Purchase a dog tag that will be displayed on the Memorial fence post at the north end of the park. Pay $20 to include your pet’s name on a custom-engraved tag.

•Post a message or company logo on the side of the new green donation box. A $250 gift will help with upkeep of the park.

•Purchase a bench in memory of a pet or a friend. A gift of $500 for half a bench or $1,000 for a whole bench will be recognized with an engraved plaque on the back of the bench.

•Donate to provide water for the park. A donation towards this effort will make it easier for dogs to drink water and wash muddy feet. The price tag for this important improvement is $8,000.
