Shelburne Museum Director Thomas Denenberg announced the election of Sandra Berbeco to the museum’s Board of Trustees.
Berbeco, of Shelburne, is an artist who has long been active in the local arts community.
“As an artist and local resident, the museum will benefit in a multitude of ways from Sandy’s presence on the board of trustees, especially as we prepare to serve the community year-round with exhibitions and programs in our new Center for Art and Education,” said Museum Director Thomas Denenberg.
Berbeco completed the Museum Studies program at Harvard University Extension in Cambridge, Mass. with an internship at Shelburne Museum in 2001. She serves on the Advisory Board to The BCA Center in Burlington.
Her artwork is currently in the deCordova Corporate collection, which exhibits in the Boston area. Locally, her paintings have been exhibited at the Burlington International Airport and the Maltex Building. In addition, Berbeco was a founding member of the 215 College Gallery in Burlington.
