Champlain College has launched “Personalized Access to Higher Education” (PATHe), a new program in that offers adult learners a faster and more affordable way to obtain a college degree through its Online and Continuing Education Division.
“Adult students bring different levels of skill, experience, and time to the pursuit of higher education,” says Champlain College President David F. Finney. “PATHe provides adult students a flexible, personalized degree plan that will save them both time and money.”
For student John Clingerman the new PATHe program is already paying off. “With PATHe, I’ll graduate six months earlier–which will also save me thousands of dollars. My job often requires I put in long hours, gathering and interpreting digital forensic evidence for lawyers, so Champlain’s online courses have been a godsend, allowing me to study whenever I have some quiet moments available.”
Champlain’s Online and Continuing Education Division will hold extended office hours on Nov. 27 and 29 from 7 am to 7 pm at its offices on Lakeside Avenue to introduce the new program. To schedule an appointment or for more information visit www.online.champlain.edu/pathe or call (877) 772-2265.
Students in the new PATHe program can accelerate their education in multiple ways:
a personalized degree plan developed with a PATHe advisor
earn up to 90 credits for through exams (testing out) or an assessment of prior learning
self-paced learning with free course content and access to an academic advisor
instructor led seven-week online courses
“We’re excited that, in addition to our seven-week online courses, motivated learners can further accelerate their education by using their life experiences. They can test out of courses, be assessed on prior learning and experience, and access a world of educational resources while working closely with a Champlain academic advisor,” explained Mika Nash, academic dean of Champlain College’s Online and Continuing Education Division.
Champlain’s Online and Continuing Education Division offers more than 30 degrees and professional certificates in the areas of Business, Technology, and Health Care. For more information, visit online.champlain.edu/pathe, call (877)-772-2265 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
