Help your child overcome picky eating
|November 27, 2012||Filled under Education||
Toddlers often utter the phrase “I don’t like it,” when the subject of food arises. Although it is normal for children between the ages of 2 and 5 years old to resist eating new foods, this is a natural part of a child’s development. Once parents learn this little-known fact it will help them relax around what their child(ren) choose to eat or reject.
Tracie Clarke, MS, RD, CD, of the Community Health Team will discuss ways to help your child develop a positive relationship with eating and practical strategies on how to navigate the typical picky eating phase. This informational workshop will be held on Saturday, Dec. 1 from 9-11 am at Hinesburg Town Hall. Childcare and transportation are available. Immediately following the discussion there will be time for questions.
RSVP required by calling Heather at 482-4061. This event is sponsored by Hinesburg CRC’s Friends of Families Program.
