The Edge Sports & Fitness is proud to host a new all-inclusive basketball program for children ages 4-21 with disabilities. The Special Talents Adaptive Recreation (STAR) Basketball Program is designed for those interested in learning and enjoying the game of basketball in a fun, non-competitive environment. The six-week program will run on Saturdays, Jan. 12-Feb. 16 from 1:30-3 pm at the Edge in Essex for a fee of $25.
Sponsored by the Edge, STAR is designed to have athletes gain a sense of accomplishment while building friendships in a small, interactive, and supportive atmosphere. In fact, the program will match athletes with individual mentors ensuring that everyone has fun, learns the game, and leaves smiling.
The $25 registration fee includes a t-shirt and scholarships are available. The Edge is located at 4 Gauthier Drive. For more information or to register for STAR contact Leslie Capano at 862-9064 or via email at email@example.com.
