Rebels defeat Hawks in first loss of season

South Burlington cruised to an 11-3 win over Champlain Valley in high school boys lacrosse action Saturday, April 21. Chris Bulla, Steele Dubrul, and Griffin Brady scored for the 5-1 Redhawks. Will Fay made six saves.

Last Wednesday, April 18, Christian Goulette scored four times and had three assists as Champlain Valley defeated BFA-St. Albans 13-1 in Hinesburg. Charlie Shea and Chris Bulla each had a hat trick to spark CVU’s offense. Hoyt McCuin, Garrett Linck, Jack Gingras also tallied. Fay and Owen Hudson combined for eight saves.

CVU girls lose to Rebels

Last Friday, April 20 the Champlain Valley girls lacrosse team lost to South Burlington 11-5. Abby Owens scored two goals to lead CVU.

 

Baseball stays perfect

Curt Echo pitched a complete game, striking out nine as CVU defeated St. Johnsbury 10-1 Friday, April 20. Davis Mikell went 2-for-3 and recorded three RBIs while Echo went 3-for-3. Brendan Davitt and Tucker Kolasch each went 2-for-3 to help the Redhawks remain perfect.

 

Softball takes another loss

St. Johnsbury cruised by Champlain Valley 14-4 on Friday, April 20. A six run first inning was CVU’s undoing. Alannah Roy had two hits including a double for the Redhawks.
