Champlain College business students partnered with Edible Arrangements to host a dinner at Burlington’s Salvation Army Monday, Dec. 3. The Champlain students gathered food donations, cooked, served, cleaned, and promoted the dinner as part of the business school’s service learning curriculum.
The feast that served 75 people included chicken, turkey, homemade mashed potatoes, gravy, roasted carrots, beets, string beans, Brussels sprouts, and two large salads. The meal concluded with a large Edible Arrangements bouquet and a variety of donated desserts. There was even enough leftover turkey and chicken to make soup and sandwiches the next day.
The Champlain College students would like to thank the following businesses for their generous donations: Shelburne Supermarket, Rice Lumber, Hannaford, Waggy’s Store and Deli, Edible Arrangements, and Tin-Pot Ice Cream.
