At its meeting on April 18, the Development Review Board (DRB) approved an application from Archie’s Grill to add 16 outdoor seats for the restaurant. In approving the application, the DRB waived the requirement for two more parking spaces beyond the six additional spots that will now be available next door under a lease agreement with the owners of the antique store.
The DRB also approved an amendment to the affordable housing provisions for Rivercrest Estates Condominiums on Aspen Circle. The amendment now specifies that the affordable units will be sold or rented at the same price as for a four-person family having an income at or below the median income for Chittenden County, regardless of the number of persons in the household. Qualified buyers or renters will not pay more than 30% of their income for housing costs. The amendment was supported by the Champlain Housing Trust.
The next meeting of the Development Review Board will be held on Wednesday, May 2 at 7 pm. in the Municipal Center.
