Esther Ellsworth Miller succumbed to lung cancer yesterday; she was only 58 years young. Her peace finally came on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013. Esther’s incredible spirit and hope to have even one more day with her family and friends was what fueled her fight through 17 months of pain. Esther leaves her friend and love of nearly 30 years, Kenny; her loving daughter, Molly Tyler and her “sonny boy” K. Warren III, both of Burlington. She is also survived by her parents, Molly and Duncan Ellsworth of Far Hills, N.J.; her brother, Stuart Ellsworth of Long Valley, N.J.; and many other extended family members. She was predeceased just recently by her brother, William “Willy” Ellsworth of Califon, N.J. During her journey through the world of cancer, Esther often commented on the incredible care, compassion, support and love that she received from every person that she came into contact with at Fletcher Allen Hospital family. A private service will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributing in Esther’s name to the Cancer Patient Support Program at FAHC (www.cpspvt.org); The Visiting Nurses Association of Chittenden County; The Shepardson 4 Nursing Education Fund at FAHC; or your Local Humane Society. Esther loved her doggies!!
