At their meeting on Jan. 16, the Development Review Board (DRB) gave final plan approval to the Harrington Village development. As planned, the development will include 84 residential units in nine buildings, including a 36 unit elder housing dwelling. The Champlain Housing Trust intends to sell the historic Harrington House which will then contain two commercial units.
The DRB also gave conditional use approval to Steven and Lisa Arms to infill a corner of their home at 86 General Greene Road to add a connection to their garage. And finally, the DRB granted final plan approval to Automaster for the expansion of their auto dealership. The dealership plans on (1) widening the existing entrance drive; (2) installing new signage, lighting, and landscaping; and (3) constructing two new parking areas for vehicle display, adding some 60 new space for employee parking and creating an additional 20 spaces for service parking and auto display.
The next meeting of the DRB will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 7 pm in the Municipal Center.
