Little League registration begins

America’s past time is alive and well in Shelburne! Shelburne Little League offers multiple divisions of play for boys and girls ages 4-12.  The primary goal is to provide a foundation and introduction to baseball and softball that is grounded in fundamentals, fitness, and fun. Registration is now open for the spring 2013 season. Shelburne Little League offers the following divisions of play:

Pee Wee Tee Ball a.k.a. “foam division” – Age 4

Tee Ball – Ages 5-6

Farm League – Ages 7-8

Minor League – Ages 9-11

Major League – Ages 10-12

Softball Mini’s and Minors – Ages 7-10

Softball Majors – Ages 11-12

Registration forms can be downloaded at www.shelburnelittleleague.com or picked up at the Shelburne Parks and Recreation department.  The deadline for registration is March 23 (fees increase for anyone registering after March 23).  The league will hold several pre-season indoor practices in March for registered baseball and softball players at the Minor and Major league level. Specific times and locations will be on the www.shelburnelittleleague.com site and communicated via email. Outdoor practices will begin for all levels in late April.  Save Saturday, May 4 for the traditional opening day parade and festivities. So, dust off those gloves and play ball.
