The Scholastic Book Fair kicks off on Monday, Feb. 11 with a preview day for teachers and students at the Shelburne Community School Library (no purchases will be honored at this time). The book fair will be open for students, parents, and community visits in the library on the following dates and times:

Tuesday, Feb. 12 from 8:30 am-8 pm

Wednesday, Feb. 13 from 8:30 am-4 pm

Thursday, Feb. 14 from 8:30 am-8 pm

Friday, Feb. 15 from 8:30 am-1 pm

From easy readers to chapter books, best sellers and more, the Scholastic Book Fair connects kids and adults with books they want to read. Again this year there will be adult bestsellers, cookbooks, and more.

Plan to attend the scheduled family events on Tuesday and Thursday from 3-8 pm, including a drawing for adults to win a free gift certificate to the book fair. At the fair, look for your child’s classroom wish list display for a list of books selected by teachers that will enrich your child’s team library. This year, gift certificates will be available for purchase so families have another way to give the gift of reading even if they cannot visit the fair. For those that would like to purchase a gift certificate in advance, please call the library at 383-1117.

As always, the Scholastic Book Fair promises to be a great event for literacy and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the SCS Library. As a convenience, the book fair accepts credit/debit cards, checks, and cash.
