Summer is just around the corner leaving summer camps on everyone’s radar! The Flynn believes in helping people of every age use summer’s freedom to unearth creativity, nurture talents, and grow as human beings. Most of the programs gently lead students and campers to uncover their own voices, styles, and their own genius. Some programs, particularly Summertime Jazz and the Summer Youth Theater productions for teens, provide talented and passionate students with the opportunity to increase and showcase their skills in a supportive environment.
Summer programs are held in its two well-equipped studios and two stages at the Flynn Center. Programs are additionally held at Burlington City Arts, Shelburne Farms, Shelburne Museum, and Vermont Public Radio. Some camps also take field trips to other partner organizations like the ECHO Center, Lake Champlain Maritime Museum, and the Fletcher Free Library. Supervised care may also be provided until 5 pm following all camps held in Burlington with a 3 pm end time, to make life easier on working parents.
